asbestos to lung diseases

Here is a health alert!  Did you know that exposure to asbestos would increase your risk of developing lung disease especially a cancer called mesothelioma?  This is truly alarming.  That is why the Environmental Protection Agency issued a final rule banning most asbestos-containing products in the United States in 1989.  However, this regulation was overturned in 1991 but the use of specific asbestos-containing products like flooring felt,  rollboard, and corrugated, commercial, or specialty paper remain banned.

So guys, be careful for generally the greater the exposure to asbestos, the greater the chance of developing harmful health effects.  It has also been found out that disease symptoms may take several years to develop following the exposure.  And if you are concerned on possible exposure, you have to consult a pulmonologist soon.
