off to Dallas...
The drive from San Antonio to Dallas went smooth. It took us five long hours to reach the hotel where we're supposed to stay just for one night. I can't help but doze off now and then during the long drive. We passed by Austin and Waco in coming here. I was like: "So this is Austin, Waco and Dallas!" Who would have thought that I could see these places that I only read on novels and magazines. It felt wonderful!
As we're entering one of Dallas' suburbs, we already notice the weird dark clouds up in the sky. In an instant, we were welcomed by HEAVY rains with all the lightning and thunder. Hubby's work's car that we are using for this trip was swooshing in the flooded streets. I was like: "Whew! What a warm welcome, right?"
But hey, we are here! Yes, we are in Dallas. Hopefully, tomorrow we can check out the place for a bit before we head home. Yeah, we have to go home right away since it's hubby's Saturday to work. I know, what a pain in the rear! But still, I am really looking forward to this little trip.
