Fiesta in San Antonio

This was how the Market Square in Downtown San Antonio looked last Sunday during its Fiesta celebration.  I think it is still going on until this week.  We went there just to see how was it and we were truly surprised how festive that area was.  There were thousands of people milling around, a lot of delicious food and drinks and a number of musical bands playing on the sides of the streets.  Indeed, it was very festive.  It kind of remind me of a feast day in the Philippines.

You just can't help but get carried away with the festivity of the area as you can see in the above picture.  Hubby and my little girl were just so happy when we found this spot.  We stayed here for quite a bit just to observe the comings and goings of San Antonio's Fiesta.  People were in a jubilant mood while milling around.  Hubby and I were laughing when we saw lots of drunks among the crowd.  Who wouldn't be when margaritas and kegs of beer were in every corner.  It's just really like in my hometown back in the Philippines.

I wished that we could have hang out a little bit more but  it was getting late, not to mention the drunks in the crowd so we decided to head home.  I can say that it was really a great to experience Fiesta, San Antonio style.  It was fun and just awesome.  It was like being in a feast day in the Philippines.
