my goal to lose weight

I have accepted the fact that as you get older, it is truly harder to lose weight.  I have been walking and running at least three hours a week for about three months now; and I still weigh the same.  Sheesh!  I really can't help but feel so discouraged.  I was really hoping to lose about 10 lbs but it is not happening.  Maybe, I should consider a friend's advice to take weight loss supplement .  I have heard from her that it is really effective.  Well, if I take it coupled with my morning walk/run, I would surely achieve my goal which is to lose 10 lbs.  Okay, countdown starts right now!
