The Ducks and Conference Championships
Thanks for the post from Barney Crosby.
College football games are great to watch, but the conference championships are even more exciting; this is because some conference championships have much more significance than others. Whereas some conferences have championships to decide a winner, some conferences only crown a winner based on a win/loss record within their conference; such is the case with the Big Ten, Pac 10, Big East and others.
Just because those conferences don't have championship games doesn't mean that the final games aren't meaningful. This is why I will be watching the Oregon Ducks game on my Direc4U TV this weekend. Sure, it's not for the conference championship; they have already won that. It's because if they win, then they will be taking a trip to the national championship against the Auburn Tigers. I will be cheering for the Oregon Ducks all week and then be screaming at the television once the game starts.
As long as the Ducks win their game, I will be a happy camper; otherwise, I will be very disappointed that we were one game away from a national championship birth. I really believe that the Ducks will win this game and then go onto become NCAA Champions. Only time will tell, and I feel luck is on our side this year.
