There Can't Be A Year Without Santa!

I appreciate the guest post, Jewel Rodgers.

The stop-motion animation classic, The Year Without A Santa Claus is still a favorite among children and adults. Airing during between the last two weeks of Christmas this show is a different twist on many holiday classics. What will happen to the world if there isn't a Santa Claus on Christmas?

Santa becomes very ill before the holiday season and decides that he wants to take a holiday for himself. He feels that the world has become overly cynical and is now lacking the true spirit of Christmas. Narrated by his wife, Mrs. Claus, it details the story of how even cynics can believe with miracles that can occur during Christmas. In the end, Santa is truly touched by the sheer amount of people who believe in him. He sees the saddened children and also their promise to deliver him presents if he decides to stay sick in bed. It's a touching story with all sorts of comedic relief from the Miserly brothers. Through the narration of Mrs. Claus, it also provides a different viewpoint that is close to Santa himself.

Every year whether if I'm alone or with my family, I watch this animated Christmas special on my Satellite TV deals. I get comfortable in my pajama's and sing along to the hits of "Blue Christmas" and "The Heat Miser Song." I relive my childhood and remember the true meaning of Christmas.
