Chick-fil-A Bowl
Post contributed by Fletcher Vargas.
Every year my friends and I attend one college football bowl game. This year we'll be making the flight out to Atlanta, Georgia in order to catch the Chick-fil-A Bowl. This will be my first trip out to the state of Georgia and I'm looking forward to making the trip out with my buddies. Hopefully, we don't spend too much time at the bars and actually wake up before noon so we can check out the local sites.
The one thing we do make sure is to not just attend the bowl game by itself. College football bowl games involve what is known as a bowl week. The Chick-fil-A Bowl week has events such as the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Breakfast, the Georgia Power Chalk Talk and Football Feud, the Chick-fil-A Bowl Fan Night and the Chick-fil-A Bowl Fan Night at the World of Coca-Cola. We'll be flying out a week in advance of the game in order to check out all the festivities. I'm actually already packed and ready to go. All I have to do is remember to set my home alarm from Home Security before we go.
The game itself caps off all these events on Friday night, December 30st and features the Florida State Seminoles and the South Carolina Gamecocks. Of interest will be Gamecocks coach Steve Spurrier facing off against the Seminoles who had long been his rivals when he coached the Florida Gators way back when.
